Dev Diwali happens on the full-moon evening of the Hindu month of Kartika. It happens on November 7 this year. This Festival happens 15 days after Diwali - the Hindu celebration of lights.
Dev Diwali :- Devdiwali is the festival of Kartika Purnima which is celebrated in Varanasi (Kashi), Uttarpradesh. This is the culture and tradition of KASHI the oldest city in the world. It is celebrated fifteen days after Diwali.

There is tradition of donatting a lamp in the Ganga river on this day. According to mythological beliefs Dev Diwali is celebrated to celebrate the victory of Lard Shiva over Tripuasura. There is also a religious belief about Dev Diwali that on this day the deitiese come to earth and celebrate Diwali in Kashi (Varanasi). That's why it is called De Diwali.

The Swaminarayan sampraday was born on this day in samvat 1798 In Bhakti Mata Uttarpradesh, north Indian, the mother of Lard Swaminarayan. Other important events in Hinduism on this day includ; Nimbarka jayanti, Nimbarka Acharya, Proponent of philosophy and Sanaka sect was bor on this day in the 12th century. He can become and ideal devotee like Radha in order to worship Sri Krishna. It was the first time for the idol rites of Radha with Sri Krishna in the temples. Shrimadhramchandra Jayanti, about 150 years ago, he was born on this day in a village in Saurashtra. A Jain, he declared the ultimate necessity of a Satpurus for ultimate liberation.
From Ravidas Ghat to the end of Raj Ghat, the roads which are built on the banks of river Ganga are worship by lighting crores of lamp there and Ganga is given the given respect of mother. The tradition of Devdiwali was first started by lighting thousands of days at Panchganga Ghat in 1915. Kashi had invited a new chapter on the world level by introducing modernity in ancient tradition and culture. Due to which this world famous event has started attracting people. The people of Kashi, the Ghats of Kashi, the people of Kashi are mutual participants in this festival of the Gods. Devdiwali,the festival of the Gods, which the people of Kashi converted into a festival with social support made it word famous. Devalayas, palaces, buildings, mathashrams located on the bank and Ghats of the river Ravidas, from Ravidas Ghat to Adikeshav Ghat and varuna river lit up with the light of innumerable lamps and chandeliers, as if the entire sky Ganga had descended in Kashi.

Role of Ganga Seva Nidhi:-
On this occasion, flower garlands are put down at Amar Jawan Jyoti at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Ganga Seva Nidhi,in which a program is successful in order to pay respect to the martyrs. Dev Diwali draw the attention of lakh of devotees and pilgrims every year. Because of the huge gathering at the Ghats, adequate sequrity arrangements have been made by the uttarpradesh government for the purpose of security.

When is Dev Diwali celebrated?
This year Dev Diwali is on 7th November 2022,Monday. Monday is considered dedicated to Lord Shankar. Due to which the importance of this day in increasing. Purnima Tithi will start from 04:15 pm on November 07 and will end on November 8 at 4:31 in the evening.
